The Bandwagon

I am still getting the hang of this blogging my second life gig, however I decided to jump on the bandwagon and join the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, hosted by Luna Jubilee. Not only is it great inspiration every week, I will get out there in the community too. So I am a week late :/ However this is catch up and I will be sure to be able to keep up after this ... I hope!

The first week the color was Grey ... I love grey! The colour of a cloudy day, mist and so beautiful.

This week the colour is Blue. I struggled with blue. It is practically non-existent in my vast inventory, so I went with something a tad silly and fun.

Don't you love it when ...

Teara and Skanda at Radiant Cathedral and Art Museum
You log in and instantly you bestest friend asks you to come hang out?! Yeah me too! Saturday night, the world was just coming into focus and my bestest Lukas sent me an IM. A new art gallery was opening up and he was there with Sy .. did I want to come check it out?

umm .... YES!

So of course I had to change. I had a cute, all but non existent outfit on. So I switched to a cute black dress that I found in the Dressing Room, ages ago.

So I have never been disappointed when Lukas invites me to experience anything in SL. Saturday night was no exception. I arrived at the Radiant Cathedral and Art Museum, waited for the people around me to appear (it was packed once I rezzed the lag was non existent for me but others had issues).

The Cathedral itself is a work of art. Truly breathtaking. Matthew Anthony the Curator of the Radiant Cathedral and Art Museum, has collected works of art in Second Life since 2003 to the current day. The art totally ranges in themes and there is nothing that is short of extraordinary.

It was an awesome evening, with great people. The art was amazing, though I got distracted chatting and then stepping on a dinosaur's tail, so I did not see all that was displayed. I look forward to going back and checking out more.

Upon Returning

Ever since I returned to Second Life earlier this year, I have wanted to start a blog. I have experience writing blogs and it seemed like a good way to connect my creative exploration with Second Life.

So it has been a while and I am finally getting around to starting this. I am not sure if it is something I will write for mass consumption or merely journalling. Either way I want to chronicle the second life I am living. I want a connection. I want to be forced to be more creative, rather than passively exist.

I recently set up a Flickr account that will co-exist with this. I want to buff up my sl photography skills. I have a long list of wants in my SL. With any luck, writing will assist me in reaching those goals.

Tonight I went exploring and stumbled into the Spencer Museum of Art Sim. Totally a fun place to explore, next time I am snagging a friend or two to join me.

Upon arriving on the sim, I discovered a sign that stated "Falling Parts, Click Sign to receive Noggin Protector". Never one to dismiss the need for safety gear, I donned my petrovsky noggin protector helmet v3, as well as the two henrycopter attachments and I was on my way.

Chilling

This chair was cool. Boing'd all over :)

Taking a Break

Me sitting on a tongue ... yes a tongue.

Walking the Tight Rope

Later in the night I did drag a friend back over to the sim and we had a blast! Definitely more fun with an exploring pal!
